Hello there, I hope someone could help me out with my career choice. I am applying for cardiac sonographer program at St. Louis Community College in Forest Park, Missouri. The thing is, I would like to know if there are any of you had been in this program and graduate, please share with me your opinion about the program of this school, and how difficult/easy you find your job after graduate from this school. Can I find job after I graduate from this program, because it's just a certificate not a degree program, whereas, many hospital in STL required a associate degree in sonographer, so how I can get a job when after I graduate I only have certification? And where do I get 3 months or more experience to meet the job requirement as I've seen in so many job posting sites? What hospitals will hire STL Forest Park sonographer graduates? There are so many options, cardiovascular, vascular, general sonography, so which one is a better choice that has more job available? For those who went through this program before, what would your advices that I should do while I am in the program? Nursing isn't my option, because I'm not into the job description of a nurse does. I am not considering for Sanford Brown because its high tuition. Thank you very much for reading this, and please help me answer my questions, because I want to know if it's worth to invest my time and money into this field. Especially the economy is so terrible now, so I have no idea what to do to meet the employer's expectation.... Read More »
